    Really enjoy all the memories that surface on your posts in this thread--

    Johnny Bench completely changed the position of catcher and a lot of how this great game is played--

    As a hard throwing pitcher he was the guy that I always wondered what it would have been like to throw to him--

    I enjoy the memories from baseball when i was a tyke, Mickey, Willie & the Duke :) along with Yogi & Brooks.
    I agree Bench transformed the position and he was a great guy to boot, Yogi will always be my favorite catcher tho :) pair him up with Casey in a conversation and even George Carlin couldn't top them :)

    2004...the last time a May 9th triple was hit against us. Believe it or not, in Sully's first 10 seasons, his teams have never allowed a triple on May 9th.

    I haven't found a site that compiles info by date, this is taken by looking at the schedule/results & recap on the UF site. I'll send this to @Gatorgal04 and see if she knows of a site that compiles Gator Baseball history by date that is available on line
