    5220—

At this point in the process I’m sure Sully is watching his leg drive and follow through as much as he is the pitch count—

Everything needs to be in sync so as not to recreate another injury—I gotta feel like Sully is liking what he’s seeing at this point—

At least I see improvement at SS. I can live with that.

Yes McConnell has work to do but he's come a long way.

You know a Bullpen group of Ruth, Crisp, Butler and others is sounding rather heady.

What is going on at UF or Gainesville this coming weekend? Besides the Miss State series, of course?

Hotel rooms are astronomical. Even Ocala is super high.

A little too close for my liking, but a win is a win.

We better have out sh*t together Tuesday night for fsu. They've got a good team this year.

We go into that game pulling our Jeckell & Hyde routine with our bats or stuggle pitching, fsu will clean our clocks.

So did Smith catch all 3 games this weekend? If so, I'm a little surprised, somebody else didn't get one game. Nice to see Butler with a few ABs, kid can hit and another lefty pinch hitter.

Also, great to have another trustworthy arm on board, encouraging sign.

It’s worse than a fall football weekend, price wise.

Note to Sully and the SEC: send the gators baseball team on the road for the weekend of Gatornationals!!

Raced my old '67 Chevelle in the street car division back in the late 80s at the Nationals.

We are going to find out what type of team this is next week. I think they will rise to the challenge.

It’s kind of a mixed bag for me with my confidence with this team. Offense can be deep and potent at times , however I can’t recall in last 4 years seeing such early week opponent pitching . So , tough to judge.
Defensively, Sully seems committed to BS behind the dish and I’m pretty sure that’s gonna cost something down the road . Young’s actions at 2b are not SEC Caliber but some squads can get away with that there if offense is strong which so far so good . BM will make you start to feel confident and then....
Time is upon us to not dwell and we shall soon see. I’m a huge fan , so I am really anxious to see what’s in store .

Gatornationals is HUGE. Not for me, but inflow of fans from all over country....never thought locals liked that much. Need hotel rooms.

2 Cal got some time in mop up but 9 was the main stay, hit some and seemed better prepared to block the balls in the dirt and kept most of them in front of them when there were guys on base

Good to see Butler getting some time at first, we know he can play outfield as well, nice to have a multi tool guy like him on the bench.

Fabian sent out a couple of rockets over the weekend and the kid is a born centerfielder, I am waiting to see the over the shoulder basket catch, he had the Yalies stunned on his speed and his accurate throws

Kendrick seemed off rhythm to me, timing was off at the plate, did OK in right field though, circled on can of corn but got to it just fine, did not see him make a serious toss back to the infield.

Couple of RBIs from 15, 13 hit a couple of balls hard

Yaleis SS #1 was a kid who would make our lineup as a solid back up at SS, on the base paths he reminded me a tad of the LSU guy from last season or the one before, bold and fast.

In talking with the Yalees sitting near me the SS's Dad said they were missing their 1baseman, who ia their best hitter and their closer, if I heard him correctly the kid hurt himself stretching in warmups prior to game one.

Any word/chatter on 16 not in the lineup?

    67—

From the perspective of back in the day when I was on FHP (‘76-‘07) I worked GatorNationals from ‘79-‘90 while I was stationed in Jasper working out of Lake City—it was pretty much a pain in the a$$ to deal with—

And you’re right—locals were not impressed—

Just that the ump that tossed dalton in Jax was doing the game. Maybe sully wanted to avoid another ejection scenario
