He struck out two in a row in the third inning and then walked the next hitter on four non-competitive pitches.

Philpott has sure been a disappointment this season. In the beginning, I think Sully was considering him and using him like you of his most reliable ones out of the pen. But he's been getting lit up almost every time he's thrown in a game lately. Same can pretty much be said about McNeillie. But tonight our bats have been extremely quiet, at least so far.

 

Very disappointing effort from the team tonight. After all of the goodwill generated this past month. A nice midweek crowd. And they lay an egg. And USF is NOT a good team. We need EVERY win we can get. If this remains a loss, it will be putrid.

 

Philpott and McNellie have been underwhelming this season. Need those guys to be better.
