Chappell the UNF pitchers dad went to FSU when you were there. . Transferred toGulf Coast and then went over to JU and was an All American there. I’m sure you faced him.

I'm not that concerned with the pitching. The offense is atrocious.

What happened? Thought I heard he had 3 hits or got on base 3 times, something. Why did they put Smith back behind the plate? I was listening, but wasn't able to watch much. Glanced down in time to see Brady air mail one to center.

Our vanishing bats are nothing new though.

How many times has he struck out? We need to move him out of that leadoff spot.

Brady Smith is the best offensive option , regardless of what you have seen in these few starts . Catching he is probably their third or fourth best honestly. I think he should platoon in the infield until Sully sees which players he can count on when the lights are bright . McConnell looks better at the plate , but seems to struggle with velo which is going to get tougher . Real head scratcher why the “official home scorers “ don’t charge him with errors. Has had two very routine balls they have given hits or actually given an E and then changing later several innings later. Maybe the club is trying to keep his confidence high in the early goings. Love Acton and Fabian’s game so far . They will be studs . All has been balloons and unicorns thus far with fall ball gushing and early sweep . Now that adversity has settled in and Sully’s wrath coming it will be very telling which players handle that the best . Very talented players but gonna be tough to watch at times .

These games still likely mean very little (unless UF ends up on the bubble). That said, the defense is poor which shouldn't be overly variable. The offense is going to come and go with young players. The pitching especially is hit or miss as roles and confidence are established.

I am most concerned with the errors or misplays somehow called hits.

Brady first went in to pinch hit for Flint. And took over 3rd base. Acton moved to 2nd. Then a couple of others pinch hit....(Pena) and those moved Brady to C.

We can't wait until the late innings to get the bats going. Hope that changes this weekend, or it may be a long one for the Gators.

we knew that the beginning of the season would be rough. This team needs time to gel.

They pinch ran for Miozzi after he singled to lead off the inning in the bottom of the 7th. I think we were only down 3-1 at that point so it made some sense.

Sick of watching these directional schools chumps pound the ball all over the park while we struggle to sneak a single runner home.
