2 of the Orlando weather prognosticators last night showed forecast maps with rain in the Gainesville area starting around 1 pm and then moving out by 5 pm. Heads its sunshine, tails its rain....
According to the hourly forecast which has not budged much in two days, I'd say we're looking at a double-header tomorrow.
Doesn't look good for tomorrow either unless we start at 9 AM and then come back for the DH at 9 PM. Saturday shows rain chances above 50% starting at 2 PM and holding until after 7 PM.
I know not really the point, but they would just push Game 3 to Monday rather than play a doubleheader.
Hoping the weather does not seriouly impact our SPs. I expect the Gators to win this series. It likely will be highly competitive but remember when we lost in Columbia earlier this year-- Neely was out (suspended) and Langford was coming off injury and not playing at full speed. Sully has settled on his 4 top guys out of the Pen - and pitching is coming on strong. If our starters give us at least six strong innings, I like our chances. Go Gators
Ok guys and gals— I just rewatched our Super Regional from 2005 vs SWAC. We beat’em two straight with a 9 inning CG from Tommy Boss and Alan went 8 1/3. Pretty good for guidelines, let’s get after’em! GO GATORS!
Best wishes against the Cocks Diamond Gators! lets go to OMAHA!!!!!!!!!!!! (with respect to Peyton Manning) lol
Hearing loud thunder just to the west of us and radar has a mass of heavy rain heading for Gainesville so highly unlikely we play before 730.
Thanks to everyone who has relayed weather forecasts, but they are not precise enough to matter. It's cloudy now at the Con, but it's rain and lightning at 6:00 that matter and that's simply a guess. I'll be ready to watch the game, whenever it starts or finishes.
