FINAL GATORS 9-3
Great come back win by the entire Gators Baseball Team!
I guess you haven't read this study https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...science/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.9016e1b8e627
So yeah, lots of positives to take from this one! Great win, Gators!
Hell of a play by Acton.
Like somebody from the Panhandle’s gonna ask a scientist about the best way to drink bourbon—
I usually don't drink my whiskey neat, just 2 small ice cubes, like really small. But then again I'm more of a beer guy. You kinda have to be if you are from Grand Rapids. There's just way too much good beer here.
74, not sure if I asked you this before but frosh reliever Nolan Crisp utterly fascinates me.
Please, given your bottomless and keenly unfathomable knowledge of pitching (yes, I've been nipping at some scotch ), give us your review of his style and strengths.
That was fun. This isn't the 90's. You punch Miami in the mouth, and all of a sudden the recent streak just gets fresh in everybody's mind and the tables turn.
From hearing Sully talk afterwards, it almost sounded like he felt bad about not getting Crisp some innings. Good call putting him in, and then maybe he's good for an inning tomorrow or maybe not. But at the time, it seemed like a reasonable time to put him in.
Pretty packed house tonight. Didn't hurt that they got to pilfer from basketball fans leaving.
They announced a crowd of 6,100+ for the 3rd largest attendance at the Mac.
I hate Miami.
Section A I’m there
WOW! Great game. Just got back home. Unbelievable clutch plate appearances tonight with walks AND hits with 2 outs..... That Crisp kid can sure throw a backdoor deuce!
Yes, very nice crowd, 3rd largest at The Mac, as stated above. Hope this game ignites another win streak for the good guys.
Fun to run thru the game thread!
Fun game to attend and watch...
I’m up at the top of section B with the Fabian group. Fun to be amongst them!
Gonna be some good times in the coming years!
Being from Broward, i Need the Gators to beat the Canes! Makes my quality of life a lot better!
Is the lid off the hitting?
Some great performances by the Gators...on the mound, in the field, at the plate!
Liked some of the Earls out of the Hurricane bullpen! They have good starters...pen might not be all that good, though.
Always chippy with the Canes. Rivalry back? Well, never went away in that regard.
Good day for the Gators. Watched softball, first time in the new KSP. Lost my voice at the gator basketball win! Strained it further at the baseball game. Great late-arriving crowd after the hoops game... gators gave us something to cheer about! Lots of happy gators!
He’s a ton of fun to watch—
Really quick upbeat tempo—for anyone that’s never played, that keeps fresh life in your defense—just a plus plus situation for our team—
Crisp is more your prototype closer— what I mean there you take our best closer ever, Michael Byrne, and you have to realize his mechanics were much closer to that of a starter than a closer—
Typically closers run on 108+ octane pushed adrenaline and not so much good mechanics—all the hurky-jerky you see in his delivery, the short pause and then pushes up on his toes to explode towards the plate runs hand in hand with this—
Adrenaline fueled pitchers are typically good for 25 to maybe 30 pitches before the adrenaline feed starts to subside and they lose their edge—
Me t Mr Fabian last weekend. I was with one of Juds travel coaches from Jax. I might come up there and meet u today Bogey. I love just start yelling Bogey !!!
Sorry it took so long....................... but
I thought he would be bigger...............
