Baseball vs. Fairfield, Sat 5/31, 3:00 pm

When you look back at this game, everybody will say we got the hit sticks out… But the difference was King and the performance he put on when the pressure was on. Keep in mind he sat for 31 minutes one inning and over 20 another, and yet he still went out and shot a great mid major down

Love to see a 10 to 12 pitch ending here. If King can eat up seven or eight innings, that would be absolutely huge

 

Seems to be just hitting his stride now. If he eats up seven or eight innings, this will go down as a pretty memorable performance. Hopefully next year we can get him pitching on Friday night.

Yeah, I do say that quite a bit ha ha but then again I’m not sure I’ve seen a Huddy Randall, Brady Singer, or Faedo for a while and this kid is 7-2 with a 2.65 era ( after today). I’m sure somebody on the board could tell me, but I don’t remember numbers that great as a freshman in the last 15 to 20 years

I guess what I’m saying is I’m not sure Many people are realizing how great this young man is as a freshman when you consider he’s top four in the SEC with ERA if not better. Are we truly realizing how great his year has been?

I’ve watched guys pitch for 45 years and this kid is one of the best I’ve seen at his age. Throws a very “heavy “fastball.

All kidding aside, King ate major innings today. we go in tomorrow very very fresh… If he can get through the seventh inning that would be awesome!!
