He’s got plenty of other arms to pick from unlike last year… Both Abner and Purnell have moved back in the overall rotation at this point. Other guys just need a chance. This guy pitching now has been nasty to this point.

You know as I do that ERA can be very deceiving when you come in with a runner on first and third and let those guys score and then you get pulled out of the game. Didn’t change your era but hurt the team.
I’ve seen it two times in 5 days now. Last year late he was behind 2-1 and 3-1 and it cost him.
I’d be shocked to see Sully put him back out there in next 3-4 games unless way behind or way ahead. Right now he is really like in confidence but that was the same thing that was causing him problems at the end of last year. Hopefully he’ll get it back because we need him.
Notice no Abner this weekend.
