Great start to a great night. Now we get to see how Waldrep handles live game action. Be prepared for a few more pitches off the plate with a variety of movement. His arm slot is close to 12 over the top. Not quite but it's hard to pick up his pitches when he is consistent

Base running, you know what smart teams try to master.
1st at bat walked but then got picked off. 2nd at bat singled. 3rd at bat hit a fly ball that advanced the runner. I'd call that effective or perhaps productive if you must. Yes his name is Fabian.

 

That was a flukey play he got picked off on. He was still back in time, but his hand ran into the first baseman’s cleat which was blocking the bag, which could be argued is actually obstruction.

 

Thank you I didn't know that sitting there in the upper deck and blocked from the tag. Deric was leaning to second and was surprised the catcher made such a quick recovery and snap throw. Its great to be aggressive when it works.
