They can use all of the late admission and registration exceptions- and they definitely know what those are- but the deadlines are coming soon. Something tells me they are just as thorough with portal recruits as HS recruits, but they keep most of that info to themselves.

 

Thanks for the info. I know Sully is the best of the best. I think next year’s team will be very good. Cags, Kurland, Heyman, Shelton, Evans, are a group that will flat out out numbers up. I expect another good hitting transfer and I expect at least one freshman to hit very well next year.

Pitching wise we lost a ton but when you return Neely, Slater, Fisher, and Cags that’s a great group to start with.

Need, and all are very capable, big years from Fic, Purnell, and Jameson.

Freshman class could be one of our best pitching wise if we stay healthy.
I still expect at least one impact transfer here but this group could be better next year productivity wise. I’m mainly focusing on lower era, better control/less walks when I say better productivity wise.

 

It wasn't that long ago in baseball that the public didn't know if some guys were going to college or signing a contract until they showed up for the first day of classes or not.

 

Pretty sure we won't need , and not going to get big years from that threesome.....Purnell might give us some quality innings.

Are any top guys left in the portal? Shelton is our top get and excellent but Austin is gone-- and we have lots of talent to replace. Amick would have been a big get but not to be-- anyone else left of that caliber? Vols seem to be cleaning up from the Portal.
