Have you heard the possibility that Amick is announcing his choice today?

 

Should be today or tmr. $$$ starting to go up.

 

I also spy a few new transfers from GT and FAU that would look good in O and B.

 

TN is supposedly getting very optimistic on Amick.

I must say this is a shock based on what I originally was hearing. Must have another plan in place, however this one is surprising, especially to UT.

Tennessee was a major factor in Amick’s recruiting since he entered the portal. UT probably recruited Amick harder than anyone else and even sent an assistant to visit Amick on the Cape early on and with a very competitive NIL, convinced the kid to go to Knoxville.

Good get for the Vols but not sure the kid can handle the left side of the infield defensively and it will be interesting to see how that dynamic all works out. As far as UF and like JD has said, there are daily additions to the portal and Sully will get his.

 

Amick a big time get for the Vols. I’d think the kid from FAU could be a solid addition.

Have to hope Halter comes back. Not going to put up Rivers numbers but think he’s capable of 300 7-8 homers and 40-45 RBI’s

I’m more concerned with picking up pitchers. We need two more experienced guys.

This would solve our OF need immediately. This kid is projected with Jac C to be a top 5 pick in next years draft.

 

He's from the south as well - Mississippi. Didn't pitch much this year, only 14 innings and ERA was over 12.00. So I doubt O'Sullivan would recruit him for mound duty. But the kid can hit and is a good outfielder. Also, a switch-hitter.

 

If he has much speed he could solve our CF dilemma with that BA and possibly be a lead off candidate.

 

Can't see a kid that went to Stanford going to a third rate educational school like Ole Miss or LSU
