He went to the Nick Saban school of sports lobbying. He has been lobbying to make sure he gets in for a couple of weeks now.
Well LSU clearly was motivated starting their #2 guy in Jump and bringing their closer Herring in to finish it off. Georgia started a freshman, so....
Bama/SC under way. Do we care who wins? Ordinarily id be rooting for SC but they've lost 6 straight and another loss might be the final straw for them and most seem to think Bama is a lock to get in w or L. Awesome run saving catch by Bama RFer.
Going into 2024, most wins in SEC Tournament since 2013 (title year(s)): 26 LSU (2013, 2014) 22 FLORIDA (2015) 19 Vanderbilt (2019, 2023) 19 Arkansas (2021) 18 Texas A&M (2016) 16 Ole Miss (2018) 11 Alabama 9 Mississippi State 7 Tennessee (2022) 7 Kentucky 6 Auburn 5 South Carolina 3 Georgia 2 Missouri Most times missing the SEC Tournament: 3 - Tennessee, Missouri, Mississippi State, Alabama, Auburn 2 - Georgia 1 - Kentucky, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Texas A&M (FLORIDA, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, and LSU have not missed it since the last expansion) Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
LSU is in. Gators need to win. Treat it as a "play in game" not just for SECT but for NCAA post seaon.
Kind of surprised miss state and USCe haven't won the tournament in that span. UGA 3 tournament wins in 11 years, I needed to see this stat today haha
Truth is both uf and lsu had lost tons of quality players. Both have had sub par seasons as to what they're used to. But, someone tell me why lsu is progressing as the season went on while we are floundering? JMHO that goes to the top, Sully gets praise and a hefty raise when things go right, but he is the head man of a team that underperformed and badly I might add. Yes, we had a difficult schedule, but that doesn't explain how poorly we batted or pitched.
Nobody wants to play LSU right now. They are peaking at the right time. Disciplined hitting. LSU can make a deep run. Johnson is a heckva coach.
They are just different intensity wise and honestly, I feel like the game means more to them. They have one of the best coaches in baseball by far as he has done an unbelievably good job this year after losing so much big-time talent last year I went 13 and 17 in the league but right now they’re one of the hottest teams in America and, all that matters is how you finish
Absolutely Shane. Bullseye.. LSU postgame comments were” we tried to slow of heart rate down and just get the bat on the ball”. The coaches said don’t try to win it with one swing, just hit the ball and pass it to the next batter. Johnson getting the best out of his roster.
Disciplined hitting and pitching that misses bats. We have neither nor developed any consistency like LSU has this year.
