Leave everything out on the field-one game at a time- we put ourselves in this position because of poor at bats- @wingtee-doesn't it give the pitcher more confidence when your guys are putting runs up on the board for you to protect-seems like you would almost pitch tentatively in such close games..leaving a chance for pitching errors (like kash HRS)
Get throwing best but I’ll go on record and say that pitching is overrated and has not pitched against a tough schedule. If we struggle with them in any way it would be a big surprise.

Ok-maybe this is a goofy question-but why have all the better hitters at the top of the order? Why not move say Kurland down-kind of spread the better hitters throughout the line up-I am not a baseball expert so...
I enjoyed personally pitching tight games but if my guys got me a few runs to work with I would never argue. I didn’t mind heading out to the mound with a half a ham sandwich in my back pocket to munch on between hitters
The simplest answer is 150 yearsish of baseball history and experimentation says the status quo is the overall best approach.
If it makes anyone feel better, my butt hit my drivers seat at 9:07, and I hit the on ramp at 75 at 9:15. Stupid copper made me stop and sit for about two minutes leaving the lot. What a mess.
Well..hasn't been all that successful here of late..so go against the 150 years and mix it up a little
The simplest and most basic answer is that your best hitters get more at bats at the top....perhaps only one a game but it can/does add up. In reality each spot in the order has different roles, leadoff guy needs to get on, 2 hole needs to handle the bat and move runners, 3-5 need to drive in runs etc etc. Of course every team has a roster that modifies the approach based on the skill set of the roster. And UF's lineup is a thread all of its own that would run for 50 pages eventually lol
