Still looking for a game 3 starter.

Just curious is Coppola done for the year? Also, Wilson has played pretty well of late, but is Evans done for the year or just still on a concussion protocol?

 

Menendez is a key loss no doubt. His last outing in the FAU win- he looked outstanding and then - surgery-a big loss. Coppola is not someone you could count on to stay injury free. In three years here, he's thrown only 40 innings with an ERA of 5.98. He'll be 23 later this year. His potential was always there but injuries have done him in.

 

Evans has been cleared and is available.

Not meaning to be negative but everything about Coppola’s track record says he is done.

 

No way he gets drafted except for a very late round. Lots of talent but too injury prone. Very sad story.

Kind of reminds me of Mark "The Bird" Fidrych. The kid didn't have enough to be on MLB radar coming out of high school and then played weekend ball and caught a scout's attention. He had the goods to pitch at the MLB level but he didn't have the longevity. Lots of kids had that and got washed out in the minors. He skipped that part.
