Doubtful, I would think this early Sully would only want his freshman to concentrate on his pitching when he has the mound.

Does anyone have an update on the nature of Scott’s injury status?

True, but I'm not sure who he trusts of the remaining arms. Leuthje has experience but his ERA is sitting at 8 (admittedly early and somewhat misleading). Butler seems to still be a hold your breath guy, so likely to need unproven arms to step up.

As bogey and I are wondering, how long does Jud stay in the lead off spot? Young is doing what good lead off hitters do and get on base. Last year Sully stayed with Brady McConnell leading off for most of April and May to close out the year. Young was third on the team last year in average and currently leads all starters with a .375 average. I like that Sully is trying to get Jud more plate appearances but at some point he will have to consider what changes to make going into SEC play. If Langworthy comes around like usual then a R-L-R-L of Young-Langworthy-Fabian-Acton/Hickey would work very nicely.

I would think Pogue might have an inning or 2 in him today. He had 16 pitches Friday and 16 more on Saturday.

Don't forget 18 on Wednesday too, and that's after 51 last Sunday. I think he could use him, but it would have to be short and situational IMO

Actually this early in the season his warm up pitches (usually around 2x game pitches) are taking their toll as well.

Couldn’t agree more. Jacob has had a fantastic series just doing the basic stuff and Judd looks like he wants to be a four hole or five hole hit her with the swings he is taking. Young has been huge this series.
