Baseball 2025 SEC Tournament

Well, I always want to win and will no doubt watch, but at this point it's kind of an all or nothing to me. Win the tourney or at least make the finals and hopefully lock in a host or lose game 1, go home and try to get healthy (or at least as healthy as possible at this point). Not that my opinion matters.

 

Why is Auburn 14-1? I guess their path of Ark and LSU, didnt they sweep LSU earlier this year?

 

Partly the draw, and yes swept lsu. lsu only lead for 1/2 inning entire series. and also 7-3 in sec series(vs #1 sec sos)..only trailing texas 8-2

But mostly, & JMO here.. these future odds are more about perception, name recognition. As majority that will wager this are 'casual fans'. So media attention becomes a factor. For ex. Todd Walker(only one at secn of worth IMO) just called the #2 rpi team a sneaky pick this week..lol

Maybe they also know Butchs approach this week.. lol not even sure we see top 2 arms at all. but do get thurs off if win.. so may stick w/ the normal 3 man roation starting friday. Id wager not,, Freshmen & Fisher( hasnt pitched in 2 weeks) this week is my guess. Ideally rest and no decision making after Wed.

 

Not sure Id have UK in ,now 36 rpi, but Im sure the little sec patch on jersey will get it done for them.

UK 36 rpi, Miami 37.. almost identical metrics outside of conf records. be interesting which if either gets in. dont see both

 

Was about to post the same thing. 5-1 loss to Okla today. 13-17 sec. Probably sneak in if not too many upsets, but I'm sure they will be sweating out selection day.

 

they did sweep OU 2 weeks ago. but sandwiched in between getting swept twice.. who knows what they do w/ that.

 

I didnt know the last part of your statement, if thats the case then it does make more sense.

 

Im not 100% certain either.. just speculating off HC comments.. Dutton(ace) coming off 2 worst starts of year, not sure if a week off or getting back out there fri/sat. is more beneficial. After Tilly/Dutton, next 3 or 4 starters are all about same.

Fr. Alvarez has been midweek guy last month , so I expect him tomorrow, but possibly Fisher. Alvarez much better stuff, but Fish has experience. both walk too many lol

 

Bama at Tn, who to root for?
I think Tn has the better team and they won the season series a long time ago, but can't root for them. Winner probably gets to host, especially if it's Bama with their better RPI.

Texas
Tennessee
LSU
Ole Miss
Notre Dame

Pass on Ole Miss and meh on Tx, add in FSU and UGA for me.

 

Any list that doesn't include UGA and FSU, isn't wrong, its just incomplete.

Guess Aggies NCAA hopes aren't done yet. Up 8-0 on the Cowbells in the 3rd.. Watching these guys it's hard to believe they had such a crappy season. Lot of talent.
