Perhaps it is better said like this: it was implied by some posters that he (AS) could not belly up, but, when it was time for him to turn pro UF did not ante up. I hate that college football is in that situation, but, “it is what it is.”
As a football player, if he is that guy, it's probably too much load with football. I dont know how some kids work full time and get through with a full load of that .
Josh Dobbs at TN was their starting QB and graduated with a degree in aeronautical engineering. The smart ones can do it.
Very few. Not many can even stay awake long enough to get football and a real degree. That dude a fsu a few years back did well also but they are extreme outliers. Most real students struggle with an engineering degree at UF aint taking clowns.
Its not totally uncommon for guys to come back after college when they can devote themselves to academics. Both at the same time is remarkable. I know i couldnt do it.
A very close relative of mine entered a Big 10 college at age 17. Customized a degree out of 2 different majors because both were desired, while at the same time worked part time while in college and also did the song/dance stuff too. Graduated in 3 1/2 years, not 4.
Now, as for me, it took me 5 years to graduate from college. Somehow always needed to take easy electives to bring GPA up while also having to repeat a class.
No sport. Female. She was in song and dance group that would do Broadway plays around the state as representatives of the university while she was also a waitress (to pay for college) at Frisch's while taking 18-20 hours while also going out and partying. She never was one to sleep 7-8 hours a night....one of those people who does about 4 hours and is fine, like DJT. One day I did the math. I have always needed 7-8 hours of sleep. A say 4 hour person gets in say 3-4 hours of "awake" time per day or rounded some 24 hours per week, which is 8 days in a week. 1 extra day per week = rounded 50 days or 13 1/2 months per year. Wow!
