Best two loss team?
And LSU sucks in the rain on a crappy field.
What is the allure with Bo Nix by all the commentators? Not trying to bash the kid but he is very suspect as a passer by my eyes. Maybe he can find the QB coach that taught Cam how to throw this coming off season. I mean he can throw a hard strike every once in a while but most of his passes are of the "hold your breath and hope" in terms of accuracy.... I think Auburn would be a lot better football team if they had a more accurate QB. Oh well, not our problem.... Was a fun game to watch against LSU.
GO GATORS!!!! ALL CHOMP!!!!
True of most teams.
The media is fascinated by Nix because his father started for Auburn and now he’s following in his footsteps. Plus, he began his career with the miracle finish to beat Oregon. The kid has talent, but he’s still a true freshman with a lot to learn.
Great front 7 on Def.
Auburn is cool. Little Bo Pix is an ass.
Instant analysis: Auburn keeps it close but falls to LSU
What Ed Orgeron, Joe Burrow said after LSU’s 23-20 win against Auburn
It's always easier to read instead of hear what EO is stating.
that may be but Ed O is a true SEC fixture... a throwback kind of character like the Bryants, Graves, Jordans and Butts I Grew up with
Burrows flop was bush league. Glad CBS showed the replay, they were getting a little desperate at that point and were plenty worried. An intact, quality SEC d-line is their kryptonite. The punter later tried to pull the same crap, FAIL.
100% media creation. If his last name was Jones they would be talking about how Auburn needs to find an answer at QB next year.
No, it is because he led the comeback against Oregon and won at the last minute. Big, attention grabbing opening to the season. Unfortunately, for him, the hype was a bit over stated. The media AND FANS jumped on the hype. A freshman is going to have some bad games against good D's. UF and LSU meet that criteria.
I asked this in another thread, was Bo Nix promised the job coming in? He’s bad, really bad. Auburn with just a decent QB would be pretty damn good. Are Gatewood, Lindsey, Appleton, Sandberg, etc all worse than Nix? If so, QB development must not be much under Gus.
You mean the game were he threw for 170 yds with a 40% completion rate and 2 picks? Those are pretty pedestrian numbers even for a freshman. Feleipe Franks had much better numbers as a freshman when he lead us to a last second victory against Tennessee with a 70 yards bomb. Yet I don’t remember the media categorizing him as a ‘legend’ like they did with Nix.
Maybe he will blossom into a great player. But I’ve never seen more undeserved hype lauded at a pretty average freshman QB. You don’t think his pedigree has something to do with that? He was a good story. And the media loves a good story. But still 100% media creation.
I thought it was bc he was a freshman starting on a top team. But that’s not that rare now and his performance has been so bad....
Auburn’s D is truly elite, with probably the best Dline in football. They played pretty good against LSU, until they became exhausted due to the lack of an offense.
I thought Gus called a terrible game. Way too many runs up the middle, instead of using his spread running.
As for the Bo Nix hype, coming into our game he had a huge day against Miss State I believe. And the hype train really started. He had another good day against A&M. He does not do well against good defenses, though, because he does not throw the ball with accuracy when there’s any pressure. Maybe that’s because he’s a true freshman, but he s hit a good passer.
great thoughts and question. Gatewood would be a monster in this offense running and couldn’t be any worse accuracy wise than Nix. He will be in the portal and has a great future.
Sandberg would have been tougher to beat imo as he’s way more mature and is a very good athlete.
if the third-down pass deep in their own territory is caught, that was a touchdown for Auburn
Shrek had 3/4th downs that LSU could not convert
A freshman quarterback is playing like a freshman. Even playing that way the team almost beat LSU at home
And LSU got away with holding that front 4 just about all game long, just like they did us.
