Asking for some too hot thoughts and prayers tonight

    I took Mrs51 into Advent health for some scheduled open heart surgery. We checked in at 5AM surgery was scheduled for 7am. they were going to replace a heart valve and estimated 4 hrs surgery and 2 hrs in recovery. As usual things went wrong, they had to replace 2 heart valves and repair some damaged muscle. Surgery took 6 hrs then while in recovery she developed a bleed. 3 hrs to stop the bleeding and I was finally allowed to see her. what I saw will probably be etched in my memory for life. She was wrapped up in what reminded me of an astronaut suit, face shield and wrapped in cloth with only her face showing. Her skin was pale and what little color in her cheeks was blue.

    I cannot imagine the emotions that you felt.... It must have been encrustation pain, but I do know how it feels being on the other side... as the person... being at the mercy of the medical experts in a very scary operation... especially with loved ones looking on.

    You have my prayers and support in your moment of pain... I will pray for your wife's quick and complete recovery, my friend.

    I sincerely hope that all went well for your wife, and you, my good Gator friend.
