Article: Three Takeaways From Florida’s Series Win Over Kentucky

Maybe two other teams didn't win.

Duh.

I am so sick of the three of anything in a sports column. Just lazy writing.

 

Just out of curiosity, if you were writing an article about one of our baseball games how would you title it, and what would you focus on?

 

I would spend some time writing about the use of the bullpen with who was available and for how long due to recent appearances and who might be kept in reserve for games in the near future. In other words what options were available at critical points in the game. I would also stress pitch counts per inning and which batters were most effective in running them up. I'd also comment on which pitches the pitchers had command of and in what counts they would throw them to key batters.

In other words I'd wrtie about things that are not readily apparent from just the box score.

 

Maybe you should talk to ET about writing some articles. Or, do it on your own.

I like the focus on the unusual statistics and inner workings of these games.
