He's not eligible to play this next season, correct?

Why wouldn't he be? The spring transfer rule is only for intra SEC transfers.

Might prove to be most important transfer when it’s all said and done. We needed this one.

Fond memories of his dad playing on that dominating ‘84 Gator defense.

Not much love for this commitment for some reason. Odd because with him we get a Legacy, a multi game starter at a position of need on one of the best defenses in the country last year . I like it!!!

Agree. Great addition in a position of need.

It seems a large % of this board is circling the drain right now. I swear I don’t understand how so many people will choose to take a negative outlook on everything. Really sucks to be them.

    Yes Skink,
Hey, who does not want instant success? But I don't think the hotshots whom want to fire Napier (Or fans that want to fire any first year coach) are dealing with reality. Unless that first year coach is banging co-eds and dealing coke or fentanyl.

Especially now that it is clear just how "bare" the previous staff left the cupboard empty, and left recruiting in a disasterous state of affairs.

I bet FSU is glad they didn't fire Norvell after his impressive first two years, 8 - 13 as I recall and, the previous 4 years:

    2018 - 5-7
    2019 - 6-7
    2020 - 3-6
    2021 - 5-7
    19-27

Speaking of mighty FSU, they have at least one podcaster happily singing the demise of UF football. I found that ineresting considering they were the laughing stock of the ACC and the State of Florida prior from 2018 - 2021.
I supposee the "shots" are to be expected given the last 2 years of Gator pigskin.

IMO they better enjoy it because that worm is about to turn AND we get them in the swamp in 23.

This commitment will solidify our safety position. I believe that our D this year will be much improved. New D coordinator, great mix of incoming LB transfers and additonal experience for out young players. Major upgrade to our D line and solid young corners. I'm hopeful that all of the above will have our D in a place where CBN doesn't have to go for it all the time on 4th down, because he knew they couldn't stop anyone last year.

I would speculate that if we had this years D last year, we would have won 9 games.

The usual haters, from the school that lost him, are throwing shade on his tackling skills. I think AA (our DC) can coach him up.
