Isn't his whole reason for leaving that he is homesick? Seems like UGA has a leg up...

Uga would be the favorite if not for Darnell Washington. But uga is definitely very much in play. But I wouldn’t say they are his top choice as of right now. He saw what Pitts, zipp, and gamble did.

This has to be the ultimate pun, although I'm not sure it was intended...

He’s going to uga where they will teach him to block on first and second down and maybe go out for a pass on their Down in 3 years

UGA has all everything five star giant next gronk TE in Darnell Washington and they do NOT use him.
UF had Pitts...soon to be a top ten.draft pick. If I'm a TE...its an easy choice.

I have a feeling that UGA already dropped off the bags at his mom and dad's home in Georgia... They seem way too confident on TOS/Rant...

Lately I have been questioning the whole "bags" thing when it comes to recruiting. While I wouldn't doubt that many of the schools in the South partake in this underhanded stuff, it seems hard to believe that OSU - in the snobby, hyper-compliant Big Ten - is cheating to the same degree. Yet they crush it in recruiting year after year, finishing with classes every bit as good as Bama, Clemson & UGA. (You saw the talent level on display last night in New Orleans.)

From a Gator perspective, I have started thinking our main challenges in recruiting are due to Mullen's personality and tepid feeling about chasing HS kids. He just doesn't give a lot of people - including parents and recruits themselves - the warm fuzzies that the elite recruiting coaches do. The good news is, that means we can probably control our own destiny and improve our recruiting efforts if Mullen is willing to reinvent himself. The bad news is, Mullen has been coaching for a long time, so why would someone think he's going to one day wake up and have a passion for it?

The below pic shows the Gator's and what they can "afford" with their stipend...

This one below is what teams like Bama football players' "stipend" seems to afford them...

See the difference... I've spoken to well informed insiders that say the money thing, especially at UGA, is real.

    Marcus Spears has addressed this,
The story that he tells is simply that he went to a bank and listed his scholarship money as income and financed a new truck. I believe that in itself is breaking or bending banking rules and use of scholarship money.
But he tells this story in an attempt to discredit the bagmen stories.

That almost sound plausible, but only an alumnus/alumna to their school would be that loose with the bank's money and lending policies... I'm not buying that line.
