The Mannings hating UF is overblown. I doubt there are real strong feelings either way. Arch not being interested in UF might be more about Mullen not showing interest in Arch.

Would think you would go to a program that produces NFL QBs or a Heisman candidate. FSU Coach has never done that and was rumored to have an addiction problem at Memphis that resulted in programs not pursuing him for openings. Kirby Smart had two five star QBs transfer out of his program and has a backup QB in the pros. Mullen had one pocket passer he developed in Trask. Otherwise, he prefers RPO QBs that are fast and athletic. The running QB opens more options for his offense and play calling. I suspect that is why Dan is not high on Manning or Manning is not high on him, despite Dan’s record of producing QBs. If Cutliffe was not older, I think Arch would choose Duke, as both Manning’s had Cutliffe as their development coach at TN and then Ole Miss. Texas HC was at Bama and pros as an OC. Again, had addiction issues with alcohol at USC, but great recruiter. Arch could feel his style of play is a lot like Mac Jones and want to be developed by new Texas HC.

Some fiv stars are proving they need time on the bench.

Not many QBs (5* or otherwise) start as freshmen, so that’s a non-issue.

i wouldn’t say that. Maybe not start as true freshmen but the majority darn sure are starting as RS freshmen. Here’s the thing though, as we all know, every schools QB room/depth chart is different though so that a lot of times leads to early PT

Second year, sure. The Top 3 QBs of 2020 are all starting and most of those in the Top 10 have had a few starts.

true and to your point, if a true freshmen is starting right out the gate or early, outside of Hurts, Fromm and T Law, you can almost forget about that season as bad things are gonna happen more often than not

Sark’s offensive acumen has been fish storied into much more than it actually is. I watched him first hand in Atlanta once Kyle left and the two of them aren’t even in the same hemisphere in terms of play calling. Jmo

His Top 3 is LSU, Georgia, and Ole Miss. I guess we want him at Ole Miss :)

He is going to the school that will start him early and have him in the draft yr 3. He is a special case. With the family ties, I suspect his ability to read defenses and do film study is much more advanced then most freshman QB's.

I think he goes to Ole Miss to play for his granddaddy's team. Peyton wanted to make his own legacy which he did, but Eli went with the rebs.

Mullen should be interested enough to invite the kid for an official visit. There is no telling what MIGHT happen once a player sets foot on campus.

I don’t think it was coincidental that Peyton’s position coach/OC at Tennessee was the head coach at Ole Miss when Eli went to Oxford.

The speculation of the day is 1. Alabama 2. Texas 3. LSU. However, I find it strange that another source says Georgia and Texas are on top. Ole Miss apparently didn't make the cut. Doesn't appear UF will be a consideration for whatever reasons.
