He was unbelievable tonight. Steals leading to layups, his incredible passing, hitting timely 3's. He has a bit of Rajon Rondo in him. I thought he was a huge spark for us tonight. Played his butt off on both sides of the ball.
That's the best he's played, both scoring and playmaking/passing. Great job! I was also struck by how positive Glover looked, with very little (none?) of the usual negatives mixed in. Glover was also showing some MVP moves on the sideline with his dancing and emulating made shots by his fellow Gators. Check him out on the Gator highlights in the 2nd half when we were playing offense by our bench.
I sat directly behind the bench during the UK debacle, and paid very cloe attention to body language. Two players really, really stuck out to me as being angry, competitive .... Appleby, Glover. Both are players for whom you have to accept a bit of bad with the good.... but they both play their asses off and are winners. I was really happy to see Glover play near mistake-free.
Yes Glover played great today as well. He's getting much better at finishing and his jump shot is looking nice too. Even got some good minutes from Jitoboh tonight, was good to see. I can see that about Glover, he has that all-business look about him. Appleby looks like he's having fun out there, but like Rondo he also has a very high basketball IQ, or at least he seems like it. Not surprised that he's super competitive. I love what he brings to this team. Has a swag about him too.
Appleby is soooo much faster with the ball in his hands. He has Kasey Hill type of speed but can actually finish at the rim and can shoot 3s better (sorry Kasey but your dribble was great but shooting touch was off for whatever reason). With that said, Appleby needs to set us up more with Mann at the 2. I don't know what you do with Locke because he is knocking down shots as well. It is a fun problem to have though if we can figure it all out especially when Scott returns and dare I say if Key ever returns. We would actually be a really good team if it all came together. If all of that happens then I can't say White has Muschamp luck anymorw
He's becoming acclimated to the strength, length, and skill of the SEC and adjusting his game accordingly.
Eatin' good in the neighborhood. Tyree has been playing at an all-conference level the past 5 games. Mann might be the odd man out once Scottie returns. I'd imagine he'll be out anyway the next few games with the concussion protocol.
Also, it is obvious to me that this team plays better at a faster pace especially a guy like Payne so Red Bulls for everyone before each game.
I agree. He was a force on the offensive board and had 5 blocks. Imagine if we ever pair him with Castleton and go big. It would be like shooting into 2 ceiling fans
