I teach a UF course on video/audio content acquisition and distribution. The issues you are all raising extend to the entire “television” universe. Viewers are getting more frustrated and there’s support growing for some sort of single access point. Like when people had a cable/satellite subscription

 

As mentioned you can customize your guide and put all your most watched channels next to one another in the guide. I did this an have the sports channels lined up at the top.

Also while watching one channel you can use the down button to bring up a currently broadcasting screen underneath what you are watching (it shows as tiles) which allows you to jump to another channel directly. This will allow you to jump from game to game much quicker.

 

I've gone to the Youtube TV website, and can't find any reference to a guide. The nearest thing is "Library," which apparently is not for live programs but for recordings. Can you tell me where to find the guide?

 

go to "live" you should see a list of channels. In the upper right corner you will see "custom" hit the edit buttonand this will allow you to customize your live guide. Turn stations off that you know you will never watch and move stations up or down the guide so you can find them easier.

The game never should have been rescheduled! The hurricane was through the state south of Gainesville and in the Carolinas by Thursday.

 

The decision was made before the hurricane made landfall and without knowing what would happen when it did. At least they didn’t just cancel it.

Looks like Plex is doing a version of that where you add your subs and it shows all in one place. Although beta doesn't allow direct tuning you have to go to your apps.

 

Like I said and you’re not getting, is that when you have TV feed it’s different than relying solely on the radio.

Xfinity (comcast) definitely offers espnu.

 

Same with AT&T…you can talk to someone in the Philippines…that’s about it. Last time I called I could hear their pet bird in the background.
