They're not liberals... They are people that want to use the government to steal all or your money. But they know that can't do it unless they first steal your 2nd Amendment Rights first.

Add me to the list of those that don’t see anything wrong with the commercial.

How miserable life must be for people that find every little thing offensive.

This is another example of being more offended by perceived outrage. I follow some very liberal folks on twitter, and the Tweets in association with this ad were more about taking the piss out of the ridiculousness of rather than outrage or offense.

My first reaction as well. What an idiotic reason to dump stock.

Sadly Limey...it's a favorite American pastime to tear people down.
Somehow it makes people feel superior to things they don't understand.

I feel like you just tore people down complaining about people who tear down.

There was actual outrage about the commercial but social media can be pretty misleading when it comes to gauging how the country feels about something. If 1 out of 100,000 people are outraged enough to complain on Twitter then people think the country is outraged. I'd imagine most people either don't care or just thought the ad was a little silly.

I guess I did. Touche, City!

With that being said, on the point at hand, it seems a long stretch to feel offended by this when the narrative is entirely subjective. If Peloton had a strapline saying "Get your lady's butt in shape in 2020 - give her a dang bike!", I'd have an entirely different view :)

When I had heard of this Peloton controversy, I assumed it was some ad I'd never seen that had to be buried. But no, I actually saw the ad a few times - didn't really think anything of it. Sounds like a manufactured controversy.

Greg Gutfield has a better idea for an add.

The response to the non-outrage is to dedicate a segment on this sad righty version of The Daily Show? Two things most on the right have trouble with on full display here, irony and humor.

You've gotta admit Gutfields version of the add was 25X funnier than SNL's.

Any bicycle riders out there? Without looking it up - who knows what the word peloton means?

post makes no sense to me.
    1. there was outrage
    2. I think the stupidity of the pitchforkers totally deserves to be roasted (I think it weird that City equates that to the initial outrage)
    3. Gutfeld's clip seemed to display a firm grip on irony & humor
    4. left/right? jesus

IMO, all outrage, mocking, irony & so forth are not the same. All can be useful tools. All can be misused. I mean, who would equate Gravity's Rainbow, Catch 22, Slaughterhouse 5 & so on to Stephen Colbert?

Is number four a question or an audible at the line of scrimmage?
