I am positively giddy for the start of the tournament tomorrow! There is nothing I look forward to more, every single year, than the first weekend and really the first round on Thursday and Friday. As always, I am taking time off from work just to drink, sit, drink, relax, drink, and watch college basketball. It's even better when we are fortunate enough to have our Gators in the field.

I feel like I'ma pee myself.

Honestly, this doesn't feel like christmas eve to me whatsoever.

    ....it's way better!

I could not be more excited and nervous for tomorrow! It's by far and away my favorite sports watching day of the year and the fact the Gators find themselves in a tough game adds an element I'm not even totally used to. I mean like, I guess I get excited on christmas eve, but I'm way more excited right now haha

Are the Santa's in Canada any nicer?
    I noticed they're a lot better looking.

This and Labor Day weekend are much better than Christmas Eve, although it will be the weekend before Labor Day weekend this year.

My fanhood long ago reached the sad state in which gators tourney games are no longer fun. I am way to anxious.
Now, if we win Thursday. . . . I will ABSOLUTELY LOVE watching games Friday.
Otherwise, I shutdown from the tourney for a couple days.

It's all pretty pathetic for a grown man with three kids. LOL!

That's why all that matters is making the tourney. Missing out is no fun

There's not much in sports better than hearing that CBS tourney music as your team is getting ready to play. Except, of course, "One Shining Moment" after your team has won it all.

It is a wonderful time of year. As I grow older I don’t get as nervous as I used to be...

It really is the best sporting event, IMO....

The anxiety gets amplified when your team is in it....especially opening round games!

But, there’s not a better feeling in sports if your team makes a long run in the tourney. Such a thrill. So exhilarating! So rewarding. Emotionally exhausting, too.

Around these parts (Research Triangle area in NC) there's NOTHING better than the Gators making a deep run!

Our Santas here in Canada need to be able to cover a much larger area so they have to stay fit. They also do a lot of PR, so need to look good in a tailored suit.

The difference between tonight and Christmas Eve is that we have a better chance of getting a lump of coal, but the upside is much, much better

Funny I seem to get more nervous as the years go on. Maybe I need some of that cross bluegrass - Kentucky bluegrass, featherbed bent, and northern California sinsemilla - that you've got over there

The farther you go in the tourney, the harder the losses are to take.

I know how you feel aka. I live and die with my Gators.
But look at the chance we have to make more history.

Florida makes its 20th NCAA Tournament appearance, holding a 43-17 record all-time in March Madness.
This is the Gators’ 3rd appearance under Mike White, going 4-2 under his guidance.

Florida is one of 21 teams in the nation to earn an NCAA Tournament bid each of the past 3 seasons.
    The 3-year streak is the 3rd-longest in Florida basketball history (9, 1999-2007; 5, 2010-14).

UF has won 4 games over the past 2 NCAA Tournaments.
The Gators are in good company, trailing only Gonzaga, Kansas, Michigan, North Carolina,
Villanova (7 each) and Kentucky (5) over that time.

    Time to unwrap the presents!

Can’t open the big one until after 6:30 pm tonight, though!

Remembering Gainesville days when we would set up 2 or 3 TVs in the backyard under the oaks by the BBQ pit.
