I know a few small machine shops that use Quickbooks and love how easy it is to use. FWIW

I used Quickbooks when I ran my small Bottled water business. It's not that easy. You may want to use Excel. It's easy and can show you what's going on with charts and graphs.

We use Quickbooks. I don't do anything with it but it seems simple enough once you get everything set up.

QuickBooks seems to be rated the best and most victim friendly as others have said. If you have been using a checking account and credit card, it can import the entries and categorized them.

There are a few placed on the web that give reviews of the various packages. Here is one and here is a review of QuickBooks.

It might be that you would be well served to see if you can get a CPA to analyze your situation. Just throwing technology at a problem doesn’t always solve the actual problems.

    Good luck!

Is this for business or personal use? Quickbooks is more of a small business software.

If all you're trying to do is track personal/household expenses, Intuit also runs a simple service called Mint that can link to, download and categorize transactions from your financial institutions. I've been using it for 10+ years. There are other similar players in that space, like Personal Capital, YNAB, etc. Some free, some pay.
