Clayton to Transfer
According to the article from CBS Sports.....
Already this spring Clayton was finding it difficult to get many snaps at the 'buck' rush end position, despite the Gators losing Jachai Polite and CeCe Jefferson to the NFL Draft. Louisville transfer Jonathan Greenard has quickly emerged as the starter at that position, while younger players like David Reese, Andrew Chatfield, Mohamoud Diabateand Jesiah Pierre are all getting significant snap counts behind Greenard. Reese appears to be leading that young crop for the backup job behind Greenard at the moment, offering Florida some real length and athleticism at the position. It should be noted, too, that redshirt junior Jeremiah Moonwas also expected to be a major contributor at the position but isn't taking part in spring practice due to an injury. Clayton didn't appear to be a priority in the mix

Good luck AC!
Hope he finds a good home and flourishes. Big expectations coming in. Sometimes a change of scenery is needed.
Rated as the #27 player overall in the 2016 class but can't get on the field.
Too bad I was rooting for the guy. I'm guessing he didn't make the move everyone was hoping for. Should put us right at 85 now for the fall.
Also a little shade only thanking the previous staff?
But stars matter, right?
Maybe add a comma to get what you really mean. But I agree with you too.
Good luck to him, never had a problem while at UF and hope life has good things in store.
Good luck young man...Go get 'em!
Thanks for being a Gator, AC. Good luck out there.
He will excell at Eastern and get pb&j’s as a bonus
The more players with stars the better
Just checked our 2016 recruiting class...
He was our highest ranked recruit. Almost a 5 star. #27 in the nation as Clay stated above.
Other recruits in the class..
CJG- 4 star
Franks and Swain- 4 star
Jeawon Taylor- 3 star
David Reese- 3 star.
Perine- 3 star. #483 overall.
Joseph- 3 star. #643 in the nation.
Polite- 3 star. #741 overall. (Projected 2nd round draft pick.)
Jawann Taylor- 3 star. #941 overall. (top 10 draft pick per Matt Miller.)
So again, recruiting rankings are important (CJG was all that, and more), but other things are just as important.
Ask Polite and Taylor and Perine.
Good luck to him, he loved the school.
Seems to have been a tweener. It happens. Good luck going forward.
5 according to Rivals.
Just to let you know, my opinion falls in line with Ahmad Black's. I still believe stars don't measure the heart of a player.
Also, I wish Clayton the best in the future. Thanks for wanting to be a Gator. You won't be Gator Bait in my eyes.
