The two things I worry about from today's news is that I will have to hear more nonsense about and from Anthony Weiner and Blago. Public discourse was improved with these two scumbags shut up.

Ah, is that how you see opinions being formed, based on love or hate, not facts? That explains a lot.

Maybe Trump will appoint Blago to a position in the Administration. He seems to possess the qualifications that Trump desires.

If I have to listen to his voice I think that is an impeachable offense. Steal all you want just dont let blago speak on tv. This goes double for Weiner.

I asked a question in that post. If that isn't the policy concern, what is the specific policy concern that links these cases as people deserving commutation or pardons?

“Melania, they love me. They’ll follow me anywhere”

“Donnie, you really think you can should someone on 5th Avenue and not lose your base?”

“I really don’t think I can shoot someone on 5th Avenue but I guarantee I can pardon the worst most corrupt white guys who abused their power and my fans will STILL love me !”

    “No way, Donald. No way”.

    “Ok honey. Hold my beer...,”

Look at the cases before you bash. Most of these cases have already played out with either the person already deceased or is about to finish their sentence or already has. Blago was the only one left who is about to be freed in 4 years having served his mandatory 85% sentence. Blago can't run for public office in the state of Illinois but I doubt he'll ever serve again in any state. Kerik already served out his sentence. DeBartolo pleaded guilty in 1998 to failing to report a felony in a bribery case, which led to former Louisiana Gov. Edwin W. Edwards getting sent to federal prison. DeBartolo did not serve jail time, but he agreed to pay up to $1 million in fines. He also relinquished ownership of the 49ers to his sister, Denise York. I'm not sure what a pardon does for him either.

My recommendation is chill. If Madoff is pardoned, then I'm on your side.

waaaaaaaaay too many Jewish families in Palm Beach were financially ruined by Madoff for Trump to risk losing Palm Beach County by pardoning him, IMHO.

There was ZERO political downside in pardoning Kerik and Eddie. Completely opposite with Madoff. Everyone in America hates him.

Also keep in mind some of these were commuted, not pardons...big difference.

Who matters. Pardons based on amount of time on Fox, nothing to do with merit

So, we we see the political and white collar criminal class pardoned or commuted. We have to fear Mexican drug dealers purring across the Southern Birder, but not people who rip off people in securities deals, or who sell Senate seats. Somehow, stealing from a store is more serious.

Doesn’t care. Trumps base doesn’t support him because they value integrity or honesty in government in business and politics. Must be something else..

So then why pardon them at all if not to send a message that government is now open for corruption business and that financial fraud is okay?
