NFL Owner and GMs have done hundreds more stupid things than using a first round pick for a
    AR.

The things that he does well do not translate well to the NFL. The things that he does not do well will have to be improved and developed very quickly. He’s not going to scare anyone next season.

That said, I wish him nothing but the best.

Almost everyone has Will Levis going in the first round, most of them have him being drafted in the first round.
I guess we'll get a better idea after we see him in Kentucky's bowl game.....oh wait.
I wonder if he would have played if they had made the playoffs...the voices in my head say maybe not...lol

Sitting out playoffs is unfathomable to any true competitor

It’s purely unwarranted speculation but if a guy were to sit out a playoff, that’s just lame all the way around.

Anthony Richardson will COMPREHENSIVELY light up the NFL Combine like no one has ever seen a QB do. That, plus the ability to throw 70 yard frozen ropes at speed, shall get him a ticket in the first round.

Hahahaha. This is the NFL we are talking about. Hahahaha. Absolutely chocked full of "gurus" who can fix anything and make it perfect. Hahahahahaha.

If AR is a #1 pick, then the QB of Duke should declare now because he is head and shoulders better than AR. Not even close! From reports, AR is a great guy and I don't doubt it. However, he is no where close to being a good NFL caliber QB.

We have no evidence he would do that. He’s been an extremely fan friendly Gator QB. Why are we trying to diminish a guys character based on what if scenarios?

AP had a good story about Brent Venables criticizing players who skipped the bowl game to prep for the pros. Then mentioned, he left Clemson before last year's bowl game to prep for the new OU gig.

Did I mention AR? He’s all good as far as I’m concerned. Go pro take the money , it’s a no brainer. That bowl wasn’t much and I get it. Bryce Young is playing, Trask played. It is what it is.

AR, though I rooted for him on every snap, is/was not even the best QB in the state. Yes, he exhibits immense talent....at times. His inconsistency is comparable to a baseball player who hits massive HRs but strikes out 150+ times and hits .202.
NFL requires consistency at QB. You cant go out and go 9 for 27. Frankly, imho, Tyler Vandyke at scum and Travis at fsu are better. As are Jaxon Dart, Bryce Young, Dawg Midget, Jefferson at arky, Will Rogers at starkville, etc.

And AR has by far the highest ceiling but the chance of him hitting that ceiling are slim.

You’re kidding, right? You think any QB in the country would turn down a playoff game?

I was responding to someone who claimed they had been told, by an anonymous source, that AR would have skipped a playoff game if we had made the CFP.

Oh yah he will be. Remember he spent only one year as a starter in the SEC. Put him with the right HC, OC, QB Coach and weapons surrounding him it will be the perfect storm.

Have they stopped doing the part of the combine where the QB has to throw accurately? Because then he is a lock.

Yeah...lol..and do they do that while at least 2 unblocked d-linemen are hanging onto him while he throws into nets that drop random throws?

Yep, AR will wow people at the combine, putting up flashy numbers that you would think came from WRs and DEs. Then he'll throw some bombs and lasers. It will be enough to move him up the draft.

His camp may have seen this from the very start of his popularity at UF, and was grooming him for this moment.

AR is/was a redshirt sophomore. The Duke QB is a true sophomore. Prior to this year, both had only started one game. AR was supposedly coached up by a QB guru. His performance on the field didn't show it; especially toward the end of the year. He was sporadic at best. The Duke QB looked like a seasoned professional. AR, not so much. My only point is that AR is not anywhere near ready for the NFL. The stars are really going to have to align for him to be successful at the next level.
