All he's doing with this is ensuring his voters do their part. He knows they're not actually going to delay the election.

Kinda like Hillary and 95% of the Dems from 2016 to the present? Let’s impeach 45!

Yes, but this is Trump. It's different.

I'm easily amused, but I enjoy every time he emphasizes that absentee voting is good and mail-in voting is bad. The state he is registered to vote in doesn't have absentee voting, Florida only has mail-in voting.

It's particularly amusing since true "absentee" voting would, if anything, be more vulnerable to fraud. Just find people who have moved away and impersonate them. Since they are "absent" they will never know the difference. On the other hand, if you try to steal the vote of someone currently living in a state, they're going to find out real quick when they go to vote and discover someone else has already voted for them.

I feel like he just has a stockpile of absurd tweets saved up. Ranked 1 through 10 in levels of absurdity.

He fires them off any time bad news hits the press.

Today's report that our national GDP plummeted 33% is probably worthy of ignoring the constitution for the morning.

"I'm going to send out a level 10 today!"

Wonder what the tweet will be now that Herman Cain died from COVID after attending the Tulsa rally

So is the virus serious or not? Should elections be delayed or should kids be sent back to school? Is it overplayed by the media or serious enough for this ridiculous tweet? Its so hard to keep up with.....

Delay or no delay, his term ends January 20 at noon. There is no constitutional provision for holding over. The order of succession kicks in.

Yeah, that's the crazy part … the election in November might have to be delayed, but definitely not sending your kid back to school or going back to work.

He wants schools open, where children spend 6-7 hours per day, and is not concerned about Covid; but wants to delay elections, where someone spends much less time at the polls?

And he can stop complaining that mail in voting is rife with fraud while absentee voting is not.

Exactly. Like a guy who would try extort a foreign government to stay in power would be the same guy to try to delay an election to stay in power. Liberals are so stupid.

Trump would rather have people talking about this than Cain's death because of his rally or -33% Q2 GDP.

My friend has been calling this for weeks. We all must be very cautious at this time, because this man will do anything to stay in power at this point.

I’m not going to criticize your fear but going down conspiracy rabbit holes is harmful to ones health. Trump will not delay the election because quite simply, he can’t. He won’t be president after Jan 20. Then, perhaps you can breathe a little easier my friend. I sympathize because I have been there - same place, different topic.

I just don't understand why anyone would think that tweeting something that makes you look like an idiot and will get shot down and criticized by both sides is a good idea to distract from other bad news. Maybe this would work in the past when there would only be a single headline on the front page of a newspaper but that's not how anyone gets their information anymore. There will now be three main stories today instead of two and each one will bother different people. The people that care about the GDP news or the Cain news will easily find that information and now they'll also find this. The people that this distracts are people that wouldn't have cared one way or the other.
