I disagree with your opinion on moving the embassy, but I like where your head's at... Peace is the optimal solution... Some of us I think find that impossible, right now, but I would be absolutely thrilled if a Palestinian state and Israeli state coexisted peacefully. That would be an absolute dream come true...

Anyone you know who has gone on a "Holy Land Tour" almost certainly already has.

Because they generally feature a stop in, at a minimum, Bethlehem, which is in the West Bank (specifically an Area A region of the West Bank under the Oslo Accord) and exclusively administered by the Palestinian Authority.

Well, the last I read, there was one IDF soldier that was "slightly injured," so it sounds a little lopsided to me. I've seen burning tires for smoke screens, but no molotov cocktails.

I mean, it seems disproportionate to open fire on them for throwing rocks. They shot over 1,300 people. They shot at paramedics, they shot people on their hands and knees praying. They shot children.

The soldiers enjoy it. They laugh and make jokes. I would bet a good bit, probably the majority, of Israeli civilians like it and encourage it, also.

This is pretty disgusting and blatantly false. Your anti-Semitism is showing here.

@dynogator a law was passed by Congress in 1995 calling for the embassy to be moved to Jerusalem - every prez since has said they were going to do it but never did til Trump

Just read a book called the Rock, the Road and the Rabbi by Kathy Lee. I bought it for my wife because she loves her, but it's a really great book.

I'm not an anti-Semite. It's not like I dislike them because they are Jewish, I dislike people who laugh and joke when they shoot civilians. I don't care about their age, race, sex, religion, or any of that stuff. Screw them.

Screw Hamas for shooting home made rockets at Israel. They have no weapon guidance systems to target anything, they are just looking to inflict causalities. Screw those guys. See, I'm equal opportunity. I wish there could be a peaceful solution.

And my original statement is not blatantly false.

Whatever you say. Accusing Jews of "blood lust" isn't exactly new...it's been a staple of anti-Semitism for centuries.

If you were being honest, you should probably acknowledge that while certain soldiers have been caught behaving inappropriately...they were court martialed afterwards. Kinda ruins your whole narrative, but don't let facts get in the way of your hate.

Why were they court martialed? Because they were doing messed up stuff. If they weren't doing those things, they wouldn't need to be court martialed, would they? Which is pretty much my point.

I would say your numbers are way off. There are only 60 dead and if the soldiers shot 1,300 people they are terrible shots. What is more likely, is the media is buying into the Hamas propaganda and running with their numbers.

Don't want to immediately say, "propaganda...." But the death and injury count don't really seem to match up, well. Certainly strange...

But I wouldn't go as far as to deny the numbers... just ask more questions

I would like to nominate this post for the "Captain Obvious is Obvious Message Board Post" award.

Yes: illegal criminal activity is prosecuted in a court of law in a civilized country. That's kinda understood without it being said.

How that "proves" the "majority of Israeli citizens" gets off on such violence is less obvious, however. Which you tried to claim earlier, but are apparently feverishly trying to backtrack.

True... but with reason I would say.

Put southerners in their place and imagine what would be happening.

Palestinians might look pretty gentile by comparison. ;)

Sticking with Hamas as the governing body can be problematic.

It's a sad situation all around. But not much is going to change my mind about how I feel about firing live ammo at rock throwers. I do not condone rock throwing, but running an open air prison will lead to resistance.

Israel has been a named land (country by another term) for thousands of years. One more fact, there has never been a country of Palestine... ever... in the history of mankind. Jerusalem is and always has been the capital of Israel. This embassy change is past due.

Palestinians should be angry .... at a bunch of people who made decisions in the 1940s .... and Grand Mufti Mohammad Amin Al-Husayni, before that. Palestinians may have been better off had their leadership not chosen to fight for the Ottomans in WW1 and support the Axis in WW2.
