Crazy it took Trump and like 26 years for this to happen. Talk about PC like nonsense.

The Palestinians never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. I generally support Israel. They are our only real ally in the mideast. I am aware that there already were people living there when Europe basically created Israel out of land other people were living in. I think they did this as a reaction over the horrors of the holocaust. I am trying to think like a Palestinian and I understand their frustration with Israel being put where they were living.

The Palestinian wave attacks are simply suicdal but I just don’t understand moving the Emabassy now when one of your two or 3 stated foreign policy like goals is peace in the ME.

Although I don’t think either side truly wants an independent Palestinian state for all the obvious reasons.

hell the Palestinians do not want an independent state - Israel has offered to create space for them and they would rather fight as their main goal is the eradication of the Jewish State

This is not an accurate statement of history. For more recent history. I suggest you google the Balfour Declaration and the 1948 UN Resolution. For thousands of years, there was no country there and there has never been a country called Palestine. There was a great picture I saw of the American flag and Israeli flag being projected on the walk of the Old City in Jerusalem.

Arafat turned down the Clinton brokered peace deal which would have given the Palestinians a home state.

There are extremists on both sides who don't want peace. As long as they hold enough sway / can cause enough fear and damage, there won't be peace.

Simply blaming either one side excuses inexcusable behavior from the other.

This will be a waste of a billion dollars. The projected cost to build a new embassy. Right now they are using a small consulate building.

That's just how you put America First, by needlessly spending billions of dollars on a new embassy and raising tensions in the region by making peace virtually impossible.
