Does anybody else see the irony in a train bringing wood into the tunnel of love?

Small annotation: that should read 15% of the material (non-gas) you breathe.

Out of the average of 800,000 suicides per year worldwide, India has 17% or 135,000 of them.
The new trend is hanging or suicide by train. And lots of people seem to like to film the aftermath.

    Cranston fire II

@antny : I say this in all earnestness, since moving to CA, and seeing how these hot shots battle wildfire after wildfire in often rugged terrain is pretty amazing, and greatly appreciated. Right now, they basically prevented the town of Idyllwid and some other mountain communities from burning down, despite the size of the fire continuing to grow.

    Pics from a job yesterday

Thanks Mutz. We were returned to service around 530 pm after cleaning up and restocking. We were there from 8 am and crews were there from 5 am chasing it. We ran 10 calls overnight after. There was misinformation put out that fire fighters left the scene and it rekindled. That was not true but the damage was done.

Balloon frame construction has no fire stops. The first fire was put out but guys remained on scene doing overhaul and looking for the source of some newfound smoke. People dont realize how hard it can be to find fire in an old building. When the ceiling was pulled the attic was on fire and the air exposed gave it fuel. The guys backed out only minutes before a backdraft and only because they were running low on air. Had they not they would have been caught in it

Wildfires are nasty and I think not meant to be fought unless they encroach on structures. Unfortunately we build in bad places. They really do risk everything fighting those. My respect. How many things in life travel uphill faster than down? Fire does which is why those guys in the mountains are in so much danger
