I believe Mich St has circled back and will take him based on latest intel. If not them I would bet Ole Miss. He announces Sunday (tomorrow). I think we get Lane Tuesday. Feel very good about that.

Quite honestly, I was surprised we’d prioritize a pg. I’ve heard great things about both appleby and Glover, not to mention Mann could likely return.
If a guard... I really like the kid from Canada, Mane. Big, physical kid Who can play both spots.

eh, I dont think we really prioritized him as a PG. At the end of the day how bad did we really want him? I know we feel really good about some other kids.

It certainly seems like Niels Lane will commit to the Gators. If so, the question becomes whether we would take a 4th commit in the fall. I wouldn’t, but I would rethink it in the unlikely situation in which Cunningham wanted to commit to us.

Lane sounds like a good one, as do the 2 commits we already have. However, I can't help but notice we are focusing on guys rated between 50-100. Really good chance we get shut out of top 50 prospects this cycle.

After last year's class that featured 3 top 50 and 2 top 30 players, this class is looking more like CMW's prior classes. I was really hoping after last year's recruiting breakthroughs, we could follow up w/ at least one elite prospect. UT, by comparison, has 2 top 40 commits w/ a crystal ball for a 3rd. I know it's going to be hard for CMW to reel in classes like last year's consistently while following the rules, but right now this class is looking anti-climactic. Looks like we will have to keep striking gold in the transfer market moving forward.

Which shouldn't come as a surprise. Too many schools prioritizing hoops more than UF. Hopefully that changes with another title. We're getting some talented kids with good character, so that's all I really care about. I have faith we can coach them up.

If we get Niles Lane, that will be two HS signees rated in the Rivals top-75. Add in the two top transfers (Duruji and Appleby) who will be eligible next season to the JUCO commit Osifo and this is not an “anti-climatic” class but instead is one that is deep and talented.
