AG Bondi authorizes Sp Prosecutor E. Martin to investigate A. Schiff and L. James for mort fraud

Here are my honest concerns with this:

• The purpose of appointing a Special Counsel is to be impartial and independent. You'd be hard pressed to find someone more biased than Ed Martin. This is a guy whose nomination for US Attorney of DC had to be withdrawn because he wasn't going to be able to get the votes to pass. Instead, Jeannine Pirro was nominated and passed. Read that again - even Republicans think so little of this man as a prosecutor that they preferred Judge Jeannine to him!
• This was clearly a fishing expedition to find something to get back at Adam Schiff. What a waste of federal resources to scour through Schiff's life and come up with potential mortgage fraud. Why try to get back at Adam Schiff? Because he lead the impeachment charge against Trump. Anyone with a shred of objectivity should have agreed that the President of the United States using his position to withhold aid to a foreign country unless they announce an investigation into his opponent (even going so far as to say the pretense for the investigation doesn't matter!) warrants that President to be removed from office. It was such a clear abuse of power for personal, political gain.
