Hellifino, bigger stronger faster kids moving at blazing speed is my guess
And yet, even against the toughest front four we'll face all season, we're 6 - 0, 3 - 0 SEC, and ranked top 10. Go figure...
Let's also remember the potential 1st and goal from the 3 that was wiped out by the LUDICROUS call of "pulling a player off the pile."
WHO EVER CALLS THAT?
Maybe 1 or 2 more pairs of eyes would cut down on incompetence. Jmho
Dumb ass SEC refs when working a UF game.
It seems like "in the vicinity" means being between the sidelines.
Did anyone notice the Swain punt reception that was out of bounds? He caught it on our 28, completely out of bounds and they spotted it on our 27.
Ha, or off the bounce.
I was wondering about that. Is there video of this? I have tried to find it.
I tried watching for it in the replay and saw nothing.
I didn't see anyone pulling people off the pile but I was scratching my head. Anyone see it and was there anything flagrant?
Always thought there had to be conclusive evidence to over turn the call on the field. Not sure what they saw that was conclusive.
Couldn’t find any video on it. They showed Campbell after the call (announcement was penalty in #55) and he didn’t seem to be angry or disputing the call. Maybe he picked up a dude and threw him 20 feet or something since he wasn’t Complaining.
"Original spot generous"? What game were you watching? Forward progress was up to the 1st down line. It was one of the calls the on-field refs got right. Queue it up and watch it.
Its funny how everyone remembers his name. Ill never forget it.
I definitely saw someone pulling someone off the pile but it happened because there were auburn players piled on ripping at the football.
2 things....if that is going to be a flag then they need to make it a rule for all players to stop fighting for the ball in a pile and immediately get up. Should be a flag which would offset penalties unless someone kept it going and got a 2nd flag.
2ndly, the refs didn't have control and our player stepped in because it was an active scrum on what was a dead ball at that point
I saw that. Had to come from the ref downfield, the db that was right there looking didn’t throw it. Crazy
Good call. The announcers seemed as pro-auburn as the officials.
The replay booth is part of the officiating crew.
On the first no-call, the eligible receiver wasn’t in the same zip code (on my TV screen) and the ball was thrown into the dirt just a few yards from Nix.
