Latino citizens are a 50/50 proposition generously, leaning more conservative as they get the right to vote.

The dems are just doubling and tripling down on stupid, from championing ILegals' rights over citizens', to shitting on women's rights in favor of tranny, to gang and criminal rights over law n order....

In addition to immigrants being a net positive for the economy, there's also moral and ethical considerations.

Trump isn't speaking common sense - he's pandering to fear. A common sense approach to immigration would be determining how to maximize the benefit of immigration before too much immigration results in diminishing returns.

If you want to talk finanxes, we are in debt up to our eyeballs. We can't afford to care for our own without borrowing further, and the dems would have us borrow more to pay for illegals' health care... that we may have cheap tomatoes.

World peace and security (freedom, democracy, etc), rely on a healthy US; the immigration laws are on the books for a reason.

I think that's because of the slavery part .... but you make a great case for paying all laborers a fair market rate, wherever they come from. There has never been a time in this country where the demands of capital havent required importing workers, whether by kidnapping them or promoting immigration.

 

Trump won in 2020. He's the most popular politician in America because he's the alpha male. GOP candidates would do better by being more like Trump per Robert Barnes, Rich Baris and Charlie Kirk.

I'll also ask, what does the POTUS hope to gain by reposting a video like this? Isn't he the POTUS for all? Shouldn't he act like it? Imagine you were African American or Latino. Would you really want to work with or work for a leader who puts people like you down like this?

As for the immigration debate, it's typical right wing logic. Don't pay for healthcare for workers but end up paying more for food, housing, senior care, and others because of significant labor shortages. Meanwhile, farmers are struggling because they can't get the labor they need, causing crops to rot in the field, that causes farms to struggle and prices for all to rise. It's penny wise but pound foolish.

And immigration is not like slavery. Slaves had no choice but to come and work here. Immigrants come of their own volition in order to find a better life. Immigration is more win-win, as we benefit from their cheap labor, and they get a better life. Could be even better for the immigrants if we reformed our laws and created an expanded guest worker program that gave these immigrants legal protections and ensured they got paid a fair wage for their labor.

 

It's those who cheer the message. President Trump doesn't exist without them.
