Zipp wasn't passed by 3 other TE, when he blew out his knee he was the starter. He was still gimpy at the FSU game so no idea how his recovery has progressed. IF healthy he would be a quality addition.

You need to add Newton's First Law of Motion, an object in motion stays in motion, especially when it comes to the NCAA, the NIL and recruiting teenagers.

 

Him and Carroll both gimpy as late as FSU game. Boone injury occurred after both but he was looking healthy by end of the year. The only thing worse than the depth chart they would release was the injury report. I'm honestly not sure why they even release one lol.

 

I know this is the off-season...at least for some of us ...but nothing means anything until August, 2024. Methinks we will get a bunch of newbies from the portal (not sure if any better than the ones leaving, but there IS hope) and some of those lingerers will be shuffled off to new horizons. It IS the way it is these days.

 

The #1 tackler in the country from Miami Ohio just entered the portal. Maybe we can make room for him.

 

Thanks for sharing. That includes PWO's....We're at 78 without the PWO's. Have to assume we'll gladly take a legit transfer over giving a walk-on a 'ship, so the way I see it, we have room for 7 more.

 

I wonder if that 82 was before Mazz and Hill? I have us right around 80 but there are still some guys I expected to leave that haven't. But PWO would put us higher than 82 , they are pretty aggressive with those.

Possibly, but off memory...he walked on SR day. If he comes back, he'll be the first to walk and come back in years (yes, I looked it up...lol).

Either way, yes, his decision is technically not public at this time so perhaps he's part of the 82 TOS has us at.

 

Could be, who knows. Maybe he graduated and his injury keeps him out permanently, maybe he’s just ready to get a job.

I know the original intention was to come back next year. No idea if that is still the case, as I mentioned he was still gimpy at the FSU game. Same could be said for Cam Carroll.

Should also mention that UF specifically noted the guys that walked on Sr day as guys that graduated....not guys leaving the program. I do know Zipp graduated.
