What? Have you seen the UF defense against running QB’s. I love the gators, but man, they’d get embarrassed by either of these teams. Same goes for UK and USCe.

Great finish! Huskies nearly blew it with that prevent defense at the end.

The Washington coach got his team back to the top of the Pac12 quickly. 11-2 last year and now 13-0. Was he on anyone’s radar after we fired Mullen?

Think what he is saying if it’s a backward pass it is considered a live ball(it’s a lateral) whether it’s tipped or not isn’t relevant only if the pass is forward does a tip matter.

It’s crazy Oregon could have been assured a spot if they won. PAC crap conference. Washington yes, undefeated conference champion should get in with the exception of fsu. With Travis, yes. They wouldn’t be undefeated without him so I don’t consider them to have a shot in any playoff game.

What a great game to watch. Nix was about as "Nix" as he can be. I don't see him in the NFL. He will get a tryout but his "yips" are WAY worse than his heroics. But when he is on, it is fun to watch. Pennix looks like what the NFL wants in a modern QB. The running game was what Napier wants. Strong running and precision blocking.

Did everyone see the quadruple play, a la Napier? It "worked", just not the way they wanted IMO. It could have been just as bad as it was for us against FSU. But a completion is a completion. And they won the game and so, all is forgiven.

Did I say that was a great game to watch? Well, great unless you are an Oregon fan. Question, if Lanning was our coach and we had that play (an almost win but not enough to win) in THE big game (especially with the revenge factor in play), would we still being waxing poetic about what we have as a coach, or would we go all "Napier"? Methinks I know that answer...;)

Wow, what a great championship game! Both HC’s in only their 2nd season there. Both programs struck gold.

    Wonder what their process was?

Crazy to think Washington has been to the playoffs twice and UF a big fat 0.

Yup....and it was patently unfair for Washington to have to beat Oregon twice to be the champions. Stay tuned folks Pac-12 style lunacy begins in the newly no division SEC in 2024.

The NCAA should have stuck to their rule of no divisions, no championship game (ha, ha silly me thinking the NCAA would have suddenly grown a spine).

Sounds like the noles circa 1996 they had to beat UF twice to win the MNC. Lucky for us we got the rematch.

When I think back on just how lucky we had to be for us to get the breaks needed to even appear in the game I just go with the Spurrier-ism: God smiled on the Gators that season!

I've always liked the idea of a 16-team playoff, with the conference champs and higher-ranked at large teams hosting the first round. Won't happen because the corporate guys wouldn't be able to stick their meat hooks into it, but would at least give you incentive to win the conference. Getting that extra home game - and a playoff game at that - would be a nice bonus for the teams and fans. Also, I'd love to see teams go on the road and have to deal with weather.

Too bad I'm not a gambler, would have made some $$$ on this one. Spread was crazy bad.
Maybe Oregon just has more fans/swag but the Huskies have a legit Heisman candidate at QB.
