Don't read too much into it. Remember when Mack Wilson had gator stuff all over his twitter?
Mack was wack
Turned out to be a great player though
This was Smalls 3rd time to the Swamp in the past year. That's telling considering he's on the other side of the country. Don't think you can compare Smalls to Mack Wilson. Smalls interest appears to be legit. If he plays in the SEC it'll be at UF.
He’s killin’ me with that pic
If he doesn’t commit soon.......
Could say this 1,000 times. Like Sanders, Wilson, and Bowman.
Beck, Derek Hunter, Dorian Gerald....
All White... hmmmm.
So was bowman
There's nobody that makes his position group look more appealing than C-Rob.
Would you prefer seeing him in other team's gear?
Because if he would commit he's a lock to sign like Lee and Richardson right? Surprised you are still at it with the negative talk after the we won't finish with a top 15 class and FSU will be a tough out cause they play hard for willie t. Just because they don't commit after a visit doesn't mean anything. Maybe they are mature teenagers and smart enough to enjoy the process while making the best decision for them. Maybe they want to commit but aren't the decommit type so they make sure their decision is 100%.
I would have went for that under McElwain but with how recruiting is now and how the Gator brand has been resurrecting itself, it is a bit cause for the pause (not the end of the world by any means), if you have a gang of recruits on campus and none of them pull the trigger a week following their visit. I'm not saying I agree with what he's saying, but I can UNDERSTAND why he'd have that position because.....
You know how this generation of fans are; they're going to stress or nitpick over anything they can find a reason to stress or nitpick over lol.
Mullen has a different non-pressure style of recruiting. Tells kids to take their time, make informed decision and select program best for them. Tells them he wants them in a Gator uniform, but to take their time and not commit till ready. Tells kids to take visits. The opposite of the pressure tactics of some other programs. May not work to his benefit with kids that can be sold a bill of goods by a slick recruiter, but we get solid character guys that will work hard and want to be Gators.
An FYI, UF is his only announced Official Visit at this time, and OH, Odom is taking his official to UF during the Spring game.
hat would be something wouldn’t it.
Where is Odom ranked on our board? I guess we'll be taking two TEs in this cycle. We seem to be looking at a lot of them.
Bowman has been to Clemson several times and hasn't committed. Should they post the sky is falling since he hasn't pulled the trigger? This is a process. Not a take a visit and commit only to decommit after a visit to another school. We may not like the immediate results of Mullen recruiting weekends but I for one like the approach for long term results. Like another poster said he doesn't pressure them. Dexter shut his down only to take visits. I'm willing to bet he was told to enjoy the process and make sure UF is what he knows it is.
It's an interesting position... because there's a 'bumper crop' of quality TEs this year. I can see three that I would take in a heartbeat. I just have to wonder if we take more than two.
