    Gerald Mincey already trying to recruit for us. 6'6 315 class of 2020 DT Jeffery M'ba (he's French btw) where he recently decommited from UVA. Not sure how in touch the staff is with him but he most recent likes on Twitter has been VERY pro Gator. Hope this can lead to something

    He was expected to graduate and be eligible to enroll in college this coming football season, but some of his classes didn’t transfer and he will head back to France for most of the fall and work on getting eligible.

    Staff has to be in touch with him. Isn't he Lamar Goods' teammate? He is as highly rated as Brinson for all those crying about losing Brinson to Uga. For all the handringing about losing out on DT, this staff has been in the ear of every highly rated DT about available playing time.

    kryptonite;

    You are correct about being Lamar's teammate. I also read on TOS that he reclassified to 2020 from 2021.

    Perhaps I'm confused, I though he reclassified to 2020 due to not qualifying.

    Yes, sounds like there is some buzz with M'ba and UF. Adding him would make for a top notch DL class. Needs would be met and then some.

    TOS suggested he was taking a year off unrelated to qualifying and would be out of the country, but that could be wrong.

    what I found but this is from 4 months ago:
    Originally, M’ba was supposed to come over from France and play for St. Frances Academy in Connecticut for the 2018 season. But something happened with his admissions process to St. Frances, and his enrollment ended up being delayed by three months. M’ba ended up enrolling at St. Thomas More in Connecticut instead, and that’s where he’ll play this upcoming season.

    The large defensive tackle prospect is a little raw, which makes sense considering he only started playing football a few years ago. But he already has a lot of potential and has learned quite a bit in a short period of time.

    I read something where he was going to take classes this semester and then go back to France to finish his required classes before enrolling in college.

    I knew he had to be from somewhere in Francophile Africa. M'ba is definitely not a French name.

    Per the 247 article

    The former Virginia Class of 2019 commitment is not into making a rush decision, the plan is to take five official visits in the fall and decide from there and enroll in January.

    “I’m gonna wait a little bit but not too long (to make a new Top 5), because I need to begin my official visits in September… I need to take my time and enjoy this process.”

    It’s not hard to imagine what Savage and staff can do for this athlete who is currently a physical freak at a lean 6’6” 320 lbs. He is the missing nose to step in for Campbell when he leaves for the nfl. Great upside as he’s only been playing football for a few years.
