  2. I don't see it, not with that defense.

Our offense was the New England Patriots and our defense was Pop Warner.

No doubt but it will get better. We had a game one on Defense and a game 10 on Offense. It worked out.

A win and a cover with Offense looking top shelf. Most defenses have underperformed early this year due to lack of contact. Think most people nationally aren't over-reacting to the early defensive struggles.

Most people aren't Gator "fans." Didn't Spurrier say nobody suffers a win like Gator fans or something like that.

I didn’t suffer the win at all, actually loving seeing this offense which might be best since 2001.

But the d issues you can’t really turn blinders on to. It seems to be a real weak spot. Actually that is also similar to 2001.

    Rankings mean absolutely nothing!
In fact I would have preferred staying ranked where we were before the game.
The higher ranking will show what this team and coaching staff is really made of.
I HOPE and trust Dan Mullen can keep them focused on what they have to do to improve and not be comfortable with the accolades!

FWIW, I do believe the defense will come around.
The defense that showed up Saturday against Ole Miss looked eerily similar to the same defense that played Miami last year.

A ton of defenses looked like we did. We had the most turnover on D, plus missed practices/ not being allowed to tackle definitely Impacted us. I don’t think that game was a true sign of what our D is.

Agree with what has been said here. The thing that I ask myself, what teams have looked as good or better than UF. Bama and Clemson, I can't think of a third so 3 seems about right to me.

A Muschamp offense will fix our defense right up.

I thought the 2008 offense was better. Now if you're talking just scheme, I agree.

Last year we were missing a linebacker & our defense looked horrendous to start the year. We improved greatly when he returned. This year we were missing 3 starters iirc & had another ejected. Let's see how the season unfolds.

Ole Miss has a lot of offensive talent and like it or not, Kiffen can call plays. As the season goes on, I think it will show they are much better offensively than we first thought.

I really believe we will be fine defensively.

Not sure if it was Spurrier, but it's definitely apropos.
Of course the whiners will counter with all fan bases are like that.
No, all fan bases have that element. There is a difference. Not sure if we are the worst. Probably not. But they are annoying.

Our offense was good. But aren't they unranked? We only have one game under our belts. Miami has played three so far! We'll improve, refine, target less, adjust and win more.

    Go Gators.
