The times are in the sweet spot of being very fast for football but not a threat to concentrate solely on track.

Heard Bama had just reached out to him over weekend, but hopefully he comes our way today and does not visit them. Bama tries to get kids to delay commitment until they hear back from other kids. Have cake and eat it to recruitment.

Yep, for sure. Kid can flat out fly and looks pretty advanced as a receiver.

i’d be surprised if it WASN’T UF. He didn’t pull the trigger to UM when he and Jacurri visited a few months ago even though Miami was on him heavy and him and Jacurri are close. I think it’s it’s UF

We haven't signed a ton of true burners over the last couple classes, so it would be really nice to get some raw speed on the roster.

This will be an interesting data point given the confidence on the board notwithstanding our recruiting challenges.

ima make a thread soon too tracking our (lack of at the moment) involvement with Quan Lee from Gainesville Buhoultz. Fast WR too that to my knowledge we arent going after but Miami is

Quan Lee, F. W. Buchholz, Wide Receiver

Big big pick up!! He will have a couple of big names continue to come after him as his Quicks are very rare.

Quan Lee- really like him. Wish we would go after.

    Bobby,

you heard anything about why we aren’t pursuing? Really like this kid and doesn’t hurt that he’s local. Hate to see him go to Miami.

He did run a 10.48 at his regional meet; over the years we have signed plenty of sprinters to a track scholarship with times similar to his in the 100 and 200 meters. The problem is that men’s track is only allowed 12.6 scholarships ( women get 18), so many of the track athletes come in with partial scholarships, often augmented by scholastic stipends.
It’s not so much that Isaiah Bond couldn’t compete strictly in track, it’s more of a matter that he’s a good enough football player that he doesn’t have to. I doubt he ever runs track at Florida, but he might because the current trend is for the best of the best in high school track to turn pro early.
