Is Wiltfong playing games?

 

He started canceling other schools' official visits after visiting us, so Wiltfong probably saw some smoke like everyone else.

We had at least 7 players 6'7" or taller last year. Coaches like them that way.

 

On the O-line?

 

Mostly OT.

 

We had a bunch of tall ones that didnt play much.

 

All the big time programs do. You either can play or can't, the height doesn't get in the the way at OT, and can even help. Hermann couldn't play a lick and lasted here one year. Trent Brown is one of the longest sticking (and highest paid) Gator OL we have had in the NFL. Waites may never contribute like he was expected. Caden Jones and Westphal may be the ones who emerge. Crenshaw Dixon was a hair under 6'8" last year and was a bright spot on our OL. Not sure if our coaches are overly biased on height, but they seem to hit and miss with the big guys like everybody else.

 

The #1 LB (depends on what site you look at) plays on the same team.

 

Big guys usually have a longer road to develop and many never do. Hardly ever good to go like skill players.
