You're probably right, I just checked a previous edition of the prechampionship manual, and it wasn't listed in there. I think it used to be listed on the NCAA site, but I couldn't find a reference to it. We'll find out soon enough.

Last year we were one of the last teams in and were a #3 seed, then made it to the Final 4 in Omaha. Can we make another run like that on the road? Possibly, but it will be extremely hard. It's all about match-ups and we'll see tomorrow what our road to Omaha looks like. Go Gators.

Really think the 3 seed we match with is crucial. Can't afford to burn front line arms in that game and then hope to take out the 1 seed the next day

True - But with Peterson & King, we have 2 quality starters - just have to have the lead in the 7th so Clemente can save the win. And even though Liam is the experienced ace, arguably King has been more effective and consistent down the stretch. So it will be interesting to see who Sully goes with in Game 1 against the #3.

Get your point but I think Sully throws Liam Peterson in the first round no matter who UF faces and if the situation dictates, he will burn Clemente in the same game. Last year, Sully started Peterson in their first round game against Nebraska and was forced use Neely to get the last seven outs. Have to win the first one.

Before the SEC tourney some pubs had us as a host. Hottest team in country to finish considering schedule. RPI finished 16. Only us and Bama we’re two teams in top 16 RPI that didn’t get to host.

I’d like to have King for game 2. He’s been our best this year.

At this point, I take King/Peterson as Pitcher 1 and Pitcher A. Odds are, 1st and 2nd game will be against mid-major and ACC. I'd be inclined to put Peterson against the mid-major (he throws 96-97 -- 3/6 in the zone to the bottom of their order, grab some pine, meat) and Aidan against the ACC, but I'm gonna assume Sully et al. know better than me on that.

Gators lost Regional Game 4 the last two years. They were the only team to do that last year and come back; in the last two years, Regional Game 4 winners come out of it 27/32 times and our boys are two of the five exceptions.

Yeah....I'm really not speaking to starting pitching but to McNeillie and Clemente. The emergence of Rowland makes me hope we have more help to eat middle innings....but for most of the year it's been a total crapshoot. And I trust nobody to close except Clemente, really don't want to use him much (if at all) in game 1. You almost certainly need the big two in game 2 unless you are behind/winning big, and the same for game 3/4. Scrape thru game 1 with Barlow, Barberi, Rodriguez etc and it's a huge win

This is what to look for. Obviously UF will not be put into a regional with a sec team so then your choices are listed accordingly. I think it is either southern miss or Clemson or unc or FSU based upon closest to Gainesville concepts. I don’t think it will be Clemson again because the level screaming going on for that again would be high by Clemson people. I really don’t think it would be unc either. There is zero history about being put into Tallahassee. Again no chance being put out west. Based upon regional sites listed above I’m thinking Hattiesburg regional. Or I am wrong and they do whatever.

UF to FSU to Southern Miss. or Coastal or Clemson is less than 500 miles, the bus/flight line. UNC is a bit more than that. "A flight is a flight" -- very unlikely UF goes to UNC. If UF gets on a plane (unlikely), they're going to UO/OSU. (Since I assume UCLA/UC-Irvine are a coupled 1/2.)

They should (but won’t) send us to UCLA. They’re by far the weakest host. Plus that would just be fun.

I see no way O'Sullivan doesn't start either Peterson or King in Game 1. You can't take a chance on losing the first game. And it won't be a 4 seed. Not a lot of difference between 2 & 3's. Win Games 1 & 2 and then someone has to come back and beat you twice.

I agree with your concept but I think Coppola over Barlow for SP all day long.
