rumors are that USC - or their NIL I guess - will pay these kids upon committing to them. Similar to how it was alleged that FSU was giving cash weekly to KJ Bolden and a few others last year. Bolden accepted the cash for weeks and then flipped back to Georgia on national signing day. Same could happen with some of these USC kids. Get paid now for as long as possible and then decommit and go elsewhere on signing day.
Yep, I don’t begrudge a kid for taking the highest bidder but having no integrity and basically stealing money is a no go.
Why wouldn't you just take the money then? Surely the folks in Hollywood aren't foolish enough to pay an athlete without a contract in place.
What's disappointing? The adults that throw out millions to players with no guarantee of ever playing for them, or the players that take it, or that UF doesn't do it?
We are still very much in the mix with Stubbs. And there are concerns with Young. Regardless, it’s just wasted energy to get worked up about it in March.
It seems our NIL offer usually consists of expired coupons to Burger King and some gently used Shake Weights....unfortunately we have to start sweetening the pot and playing the game like our opponents for better or worse.
The operative word in your post is “seems”. I have learnt to not believe anything when someone use that word
