Yes sir. He’s UF Law grad. I actually thought he would still be lying low after the NIL debacle he was neck deep in. Guess not.

Fisch isn’t who I want but he’s miles better than Napier.

In terms of how they’d look at hire date:

    1. Urban

    2. Lane

    3. Fisch

    4. Mullen

    5. Muschamp

    7. Napier
    8. Mac
    9. Zook

It's an option in the ESPN app and starts early for all the pregame fanfare.

This is hindsight bias to an extent. Lane would likely get much more buzz FROM THE INITIAL HIRE than Urban. Many people were concerned that his offense wouldn’t work in the SEC. Even those against Kiffin (such as myself) aren’t as concerned about on the field success as other issues.

Dunno, there was a lot of buzz and excitement on campus and online (including here) when Urban came. When we saw him recruit the following year, things really blew up.

He was far and away the hottest up and coming coach in the country. While the offensive concerns weren't unheard of at the time, the naysayers in our fanbase were a clear minority and those coming from rivals were whistling past the graveyard.

I agree except I think Lane should coach Ole Miss in the playoffs and I think Ole Miss would want that too…

Heitner was an adjunct rent-a-professor teaching a condensed course for UF Law a few years ago, but media picked up on it and made it seem like he was a tenured professor in the middle of the Gator Collective fiasco

Desmond Howard claimed this morning on his IG story that we should be on the lookout for a “mutual parting of ways” between Texas and Sark.

Wow. Someone was talking about taking a sit back and watch it all implode approach. I'm thinking - sans Kiffen - that might not be a bad idea. I mean, could you be more reactionary and stupid than these programs? Are they all going to get Lane Kiffen? My philosophy, you don't fire a guy unless you're sure you can do better.

There was that report several weeks ago about Sark and the Titans job. He should be catching some horn heat now, underperforming with that roster. Not sure who Texas could get that would be worthy of that job. After Lane Kiffin, the pool is shallow this cycle. Maybe this is where Lincoln Riley jumps?

Urban had elite quick success at two schools and zero failures. From a predictive standpoint you don’t get much better than that

Fisch right now is higher than Mullen at hire because of multi school success.

Mac basically had low success so he was an awful hire. Napier slightly better but the ULL results were vastly overrated. Winning a bunch of close games with better talent is not actually a good thing (for predicting future success)
