    If Sproat gets us past Virginia then Waldrep will be ready for Sunday. Game 1 is the most important game of the season so far. Got to win them one at a time but we control our destiny going into this. I'll be spending time getting to know Virginia over the next few days but I think I heard they are another fastball hitting team. Any one seen their Friday pitcher yet this year?

    Only watched a little and yea they seem to be fastball hunters. All the reading and little bit watching shows good hitting team, very good pitching staff, snd very sound fundamentally.

    Gelof is their dude offensively but they all swing it pretty well.

    A few similarities between 17 and 23 teams. Both were co- champions of the SEC. 17 team played TCU in Omaha and played LSU in the finals. I predict the same thing in 23.

    I'm a little confused about the seedings. I assume the seedings shown in the CWS schedule were what teams were seeded in the Super Regionals? Right? I mean i see several # 2 seeds listed so they can't all be #2 the CSW. So where are we seeded among the 8 CWS teams?

    We are the #2 national seed. Wake is #1.

    The two's you were seeing referred to their regional seed. There is no re-seeding. You simply take the place of the higher seed you beat in the regional. Hence the 2's. I don't think any 3's won their regional. ORU did win as a 4.

    Thanks Iowa very informative. This being the case I wonder if the National Media or anyone else for that matter has unofficially seeded the CWS teams? (with the given being Wake at #1)..

    Yes, then 2/3 in the championship series. You can technically lose twice in Omaha and still win the NC.

    Virginia and TCU represent a difficult road. Then again, it’s not like I am begging to face Wake and LSU. Play our game, and we’ve got a shot.

    Now that the pitching and defense have picked up, our hitting overall has slumped in the post season. Need to get the bats cranking to have all 3 phases firing on all cylinders.     Thanks for posting that; I hadn't noticed that we were included in Bracket 2. In 2019, Arkansas and SWAC were both in Saturday starting Supers and they played on the first day (Thursday then).
